Love Poem-Think You Always

Every minute of every day I spend thinking of you,
Hoping and wondering if you miss me too.
So long its been since I’ve seen your face,
Or felt the bliss of your warm embrace.
I wonder if you’re ok and who you’re with,
And how much longer I must wait for your kiss.
Each night I dream I am back in your arms,
Lost in your love, protected from harm.
In my realm of dreams, all is right,
We remain together one more heavenly night.
The world is ablaze with a colorful fire,
For it knows the passion of our unspoken desire.
Here we’ll remain lingering in our love,
Drifting with pleasure in the heavens above.
Then I awaken, and know that you’re gone,
nothing is perfect and everythings wrong.
My world is bleak, tainted with sorrow,
Knowing you’ll be gone today and tomorrow.
I can’t wait for the day when you’ll be home at last.
Then all this pain can be put in the past.
Until then I’ll lay here dreaming of you,
As I pray for the day that our wish will come true.

Journey Of Love-Enlish Poem

Two destined lovers met one day
Their love was fairy tale,
as she would often say:
“He’s my loving Savior
He’s my strong white knight,
I’ll love him until I die,
the love we share’s so tight.”

Their love grew stronger
Their hearts became whole.
To others they were in-separable.
Their love came from their soul.

From day to day,
their love stayed warm
Even through thick and thin,
their love would not be torn.

He called her his princess,
his baby and his heart.
They pledged their love together,
and promised they’d never part.

Together they planned their future.
Together they planned their life.
They planned that they would marry
and she would be his loving wife.

Who would have thought
their clear blue sky,
would turn black and grey?
Who would ever imagine?
Their love would drift away

Their love which came from heaven.
Had slipped before their eyes
Their love which once was warm.
Now slowly dies.

Their hearts were torn apart,
by life’s everyday sins.
Now they are not together,
their feared fate sadly wins.

But their love is still alive
the love within their heart.
Though they cannot rebuild
the love they felt at the start.

So now there is no end,
no key to set them free.
Living this life in misery
as their once true love
Is history.

When life’s a struggle
And the world gets you down
Just remember the one
Who turned your life around

When you think no one cares
And no one could understand
He will be here waiting
Just to hold your hand

When you feel so neglected
And you feel so alone
You feel so unwanted
In every fiber of your bones

Remember the one
Who told you he cared
The one who promised you
To hold you when your scared

Remember the times
That you cried together
And somehow just doing that
Made everything seem better

So if tomorrow morning you wake up
And the darkness doesn’t let you see

To touch the heart of someone dear

To touch the heart of someone dear -
though it might sometimes cause a tear
To fall or rest upon the cheek
- Should be something all one should seek.
For often hearts not touched at all
- Start hardening and shrinking small.
And then the time it takes to grow
- A loving heart is very slow.
For hearts expand as those who care
- Extend their love and let us share
A moment, space or special phrase
that eases pain on dreary days.
Or simply starts our lips to smile
and brightens time for just a while.
The ways and kinds and means of sharing
it seems to me – Are based on caring.
And though we’re often worlds apart
- You still can touch my very heart.
You make me smile or shed a tear
- And I’ll remember year to year
Just how your ‘touching’ helped me grow
- And I just thought I’d tell you so.

Dil e naadaan tujhe huaa kyaa hai

“Mirza Ghalib” (1954) was a movie based on the life of Mirza Ghalib, who was one of the greatest Urdu poets of all time. This meant that the makers of this movie did not have to hire a lyricist. Mirza Ghalib’s poems themselves served as the lyrics. And what superb lyrics they are too.

All that was left to be done was to hire a fine music director and singers, and one was assured of some timeless classics. And that is exactly what has happened with the songs of “Mirza Ghalib” (1954).

Here is a song from this movie. It is a duet sung by Talat Mehmood and Suraiyya. It is picturised on Bharat Bhushan and Suraiyya. Ghulam Mohammed is the music director.

Many more singers have since sung this same song of Ghalib, but this version remains one of the very best. Listen to to, and savour this fine fine rendition of such a superbly written song.

Incidentally, Mirza Ghalib lived in an era before movies. He even in his wildest of dreams may not have realised that some day his poems would be used in movies, that too long after he was gone. But that is how it turned out to be, and we as listeners are thankful that a movie like tis was made on his life.
