IPL 5 schedule has been changed and the changed dates have been confirmed and here is a list of all the changes to the IPL 5 schedule due to the Delhi Municipal Election.
Delhi Daredevils v/s Deccan Chargers: Delhi Daredevils will now go head-to-head with the Deccan Chargers team on April 19 @ 4:00 pm instead of April 14 at the Ferozh Shah Kotla stadium. Another match scheduled between these two teams earlier scheduled on April 19 @ 4:00 pm in Cuttack has been moved to May 10 in Hyderabad. The time however, remains unchanged.
Deccan Chargers v/s Pune Warriors: Deccan Charger will face the brave PuneWarriors on May 1 at 4:00 pm in Cuttack instead of Hyderabad.
Play-off matches: There has been a change in the play-off matches as well and the changed schedule states that the May 22 play-off match scheduled to be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore has been shifted to the MCA Stadium, Pune.
Instead, the May 23 play-off match will be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.
Qualifier 1 play-off match: If the Royal Challengers Bangalore are placed first or second in the league table then the Eliminator play-off match will be played on May 22 in Pune while the Qualifier 1 play-off match will be played on May 23 in Bangalore.
But if the Royal Challengers Bangalore are placed third or below in the league table, then the Qualifier 1 play-off match will be played in Pune on May 22 and the eliminator play-off game on May 23 in Bangalore.
The Qualifier 1 play-off match will feature the teams that finished the regular season in first and second place, while the Eliminator play-offs will feature the sides that finished the regular season in third and fourth place.
Qualifier 2 play-off match The Qualifier 2 play-off match and the finals will be hosted at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai as previously decided.
Instead, we are all anxiously waiting to see the final squad line-ups for the nine teams that will face off in the fifth season of the IPL starting on the 4th of April, 2012.
