Mahindra and Mahindra introduced its latest Thar 4×4 off-roader in India. The all new 2011 Mahindra Thar comes available in two variants named Mahindra Thar CRDe 4X4 BS IV and Mahindra Thar DI BS III. The price of the Mahindra Thar Di 4X2 BS3 is Rs. 4.47 lakhs while the Mahindra Thar Di 4X4 BS3 gets a price tag of Rs. 4.97 lakhs and Mahindra Thar CRDe 4X4 BS4 is priced at Rs. 5.99 lakhs.


Mahindra Thar 4X4 off-loader comes with a 2523cc Turbo Diesel Engine providing a maximum power of 63 Bhp @ 3200 rpm and a peak torque of 180 Nm @ 1440 rpm.Mahindra Thar DI BS III model comes in both 2 and 4 wheel drive options.

Mahindra offers the Thar CRDe off-roader in four colors – Black, Mist Silver, Toreador Red and Arctic White.

Recruitment to the post of Junior Intelligence Officer Grade-II/ MT and SA/MT 2010


Applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens for the post of Junior Intelligence Officer Grade-II/ Motor Transport, and SA/MT?Group ‘C’ non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial in the Intelligene Bureau (IB) (MHA), Government of India. The selected candidates will be required to drive any kind of motor vehicle and will also be responsible for its upkeep.

  • Junior Intelligence Officer/MT : 140 posts (UR-102,OBC-26,SC-12), Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs.5200-20200 Grade Pay Rs.2400, Qualification : Candidates must be Matriculation passed or equivalent (ii) Possession of valid driving license for motor cars. (iii) Knowledge of motor mechanism (iv) Experience for driving a motor car for at least 3 years., Age : Not more than 32 years. Age relaxation to 5 years to SC/ST, 3 years to OBC candidates.
  • SA/MT :? 48 posts (UR-35,OBC-8,SC-4, ST-1), Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs.5200-20200 Grade Pay Rs.2000, Qualification : Candidates must be Matriculation passed or equivalent (ii) Possession of valid driving license for Light Motor Vehicle of Motor Cycle, Age : Not more than 3 0years. Age relaxation to 5 years to SC/ST, 3 years to OBC candidates.

Closing Date : The last date of submitting application is 07/09/2010.

Selection Process : Candidate will be called for a test of motor mechanism and driving test followed by an interview at selected places to be decided by the Bureau.

How to Apply : Application forms filled up either in English or Hindi only on a plain white paper of size 21 1/2 x 33 cms in the prescribed format should be sent through ordinary posts only at the designated addresses upto last date. The envelope containing the application must be superscribed in bold letters as “Application to the post of JIO-II/MT in IB”

Barbara features passionate liplock in English version of Kites

The Remix is out. Yes, that’s what they’re calling the Brett Ratner presentation of Kites in the US. The trailer for The Remix has been well recieved in the US by industry watchers.

There are marked differences between the Hindi trailer and the international one. While the desi version features fleeting flirty scenes between the two, the English teaser actually shows a topless Barbara and a passionate liplock between the lead pair, something that’s missing in the Indian promo.

The Hindi trailer is comparatively tame, perhaps made to suit the local sensibilities.
While Kites releases worldwide on May 21, The Remix, a re-edited version of the 130 minute original, releases on May 28. It is only 90 minutes long and has been reworked by Ratner to be faster, younger and hipper.

About Ratner’s cut, one Hollywood trade analyst had this to say: “Ratner’s reputation couldn’t be anything further from the Bollywood norm. He’s known for movies full of fast cars, fast women, and big explosions. Subtlety isn’t his thing. Kites hits theaters thanks to Brett Ratner.”

Says Rakesh Roshan, “The promos for both the international and Indian audiences are same and the kiss is in both. As far as the topless scene (of Barbara Mori) is concerned, it’s not true. I don’t make such films. For the Hollywood version, they wanted only 90 minutes so we removed all the five songs that are there in the Indian version of Kites.”
